Intuitive programming

This thermostat uses the Google Calendar to make programming very easy and flexible. Need to have the thermostat set to Cool 75°F when you get home at 6 PM ? Just create an entry with the subject "cool75" in the calendar. The commands for heating are similar, i.e. "heat80" will set the thermostat to Heat 80°F, and turning off the thermostat is done by "off". The thermostat controller reads the calendar and sends the commands to the thermostat. View demo

Recurring entries can be used to set up events that occur daily, weekly, etc. One example of using this would be to turn off the thermostat every weekday at 8 AM, as shown in the demo. And of course, you can share the calendar used by the thermostat with all members of your family.

Flexible program adjustment

With most thermostats it is not possible to adjust the program when your daily schedule changes with short notice, unless for example you drive home, change the program, and then your drive back to work. All you have to do with this thermostat is open the Google Calendar and change the program. View demo

Controllable from iGoogle and mobile Web Browsers

There is not need to leave your desk to adjust the thermostat because the thermostat is also accessible from your iGoogle page. View demo

While other thermostats feature a radio remote control, this thermostat transforms any device that can access the Internet (cellphone, Pocket PC , Blackberry, IPhone, etc) into a virtual remote.

Usage graphs

The graphs make it possible to monitor energy usage before receiving the monthly energy bills. In addition, the thermostat publishes daily an Atom feed with the usage graphs, so that they can be automatically imported in your favorite feed reader.
